Immigration & Residency

For those of you who are serious about living full time in Costa Rica or making it one of your primary bases, there are several paths to becoming temporary or permanent residents.  The benefits of being a resident mean no need for visa runs, the ability to work legally, and eventually qualifying for citizenship.

You can attain residency through owning property, having a pension, working remotely and renting long term, as well as having a birth abroad.  I have personally gone through several of these processes myself, as well as helped friends, family, and clients.
